Privacy at BiteForBetter
This page describes how the current Guest launch behaves. It is a product draft, not a counsel-approved privacy policy. Company registration details are not published here yet.
Guest usage
You can use Generate Meal, Day Plan and Healthy Remake without creating an account. Accounts and Premium are coming soon and are not required for Guest tools.
Guest identifier and credits
An anonymous Guest identifier cookie named bfb_gid is used to enforce the Guest generation allowance. Guests receive 5 AI generations that reset every 7 days. Clearing cookies starts a new anonymous identity. Guest recipes may also be stored in this browser via localStorage or session storage.
What the app stores in this browser
Guest recipes, day plans and some preferences are stored in browser storage for a limited time (typically about 24 hours for Guest results). They are not published as public pages and can be lost if you clear site data or switch devices.
Cookies
Necessary cookies and storage support Guest credits and core functionality. Optional analytics storage is used only after you choose analytics in the privacy prompt.
Analytics and telemetry
Optional first-party telemetry is sent only after analytics consent. The current implementation records bounded product and error events. It does not intentionally include recipe text, Pantry contents, email addresses, nutrition profile values or raw error messages.
Recipe generation and AI processing
When you generate a meal, day plan or remake, the ingredients and preferences you submit may be sent to OpenAI to produce a recipe. Nutrition figures shown in the app are estimates. BiteForBetter provides AI-assisted meal ideas and estimated nutrition for general information only. It is not medical advice.
Supabase and photos
Signed-in account data, when available, is stored through the configured Supabase project. Public Healthy Remake catalog recipes are stored as published product content. Recipe photos may be stored in Supabase Storage when image generation succeeds. Do not enter sensitive medical information into free-text fields.
Contact, Advertise and waitlist
Messages sent through Contact, Advertise or account waitlist forms are stored so we can respond. Premium waitlist emails are collected only when you submit them.
Sale of personal information
BiteForBetter does not currently sell personal information. This draft does not describe paid advertising networks or payment processors because those are not part of the Guest launch.
